What is Integrative Medicine (IM)?
IM involves the appropriate use of conventional medicine in conjunction with complementary therapies to facilitate the body’s innate healing capacity.
We work holistically, taking into consideration all aspects of life that influence health, wellness and disease, performing thorough examinations of mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing, as well as our physical body.
IM is evidence-based, inquiry-driven and open to new healing paradigms. It is an approach that aims to prevent disease, but also promote health on a broader community level. Natural, effective and less invasive treatment is used wherever possible.
Patient and practitioner work together in the healing process, forming a therapeutic relationship. Our aim is to empower each client in supporting their personal health wisdom.
Care is individualised – we all have different needs, conditions, genetics and circumstances that need to be addressed.
As practitioners of integrative medicine, we aim to ‘walk our talk’ and exemplify these principles, and are committed patients of our own medicine.
